Women of the Word
Join Women of the Word Bible Study as they study through the book of James! Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer. Learn how to put your faith in action!
PARTICIPATION OPTIONS
• ONSITE STUDIES: The ONSITE Bible Study begins Tuesday, January 10 and continues through April 24 at Crossroads Church and will include homework, video lecture, and worship in song. Group discussion will alternate between discussing the video one week and the homework the next. Morning and evening sessions are both offered.
NOTE: TWO DIFFERENT ONSITE STUDY GROUP OPTIONS ARE BEING OFFERED.
WORKBOOK STUDY: You can choose to participate in the group that uses a study guide on James written by Beth Moore called “James: Mercy Triumphs.” This option will include worship, video lectures and small group discussion. Cost for workbooks will be $18.
INDUCTIVE STUDY: You can choose to participate in the group that will use an inductive Bible study series on James published by Harvest Christian Fellowship called “James: Faith, Hope & Love in Action.” This option will include worship and small group discussion.
CHILDREN: Children of those who participate in the morning onsite study will take part a program that includes Bible teaching, music, crafts, and snacks. Home school students will have an art class and the opportunity to participate in the AR reading program.
• HOME GROUP STUDY: HOME GROUPS using the inductive Bible study format on the book of James will be provided in outlying areas. These home groups will occasionally join the onsite groups at the church for potlucks.
• ONLINE STUDY: An online discussion group is available for those who are not able to participate in person, have been absent from their regular group, or just want to discuss the study midweek.
