holiday food baskets
Crossroads Church’s Holiday Food Basket Ministry is an opportunity to tangibly express Christ’s love to those in our church and community. Participants (families, Bible Study Groups, Community Groups, etc.) are asked to create a “one-of-a-kind” holiday food basket which will be delivered to a family in our local area.
Each basket should contain the basic items listed below:
• a $10-$15 gift certificate from a local grocery store to purchase a turkey or ham
• foil roasting pan
• seasoned stuffing mix
• two cans of chicken broth
• onions & celery
• mashed potatoes or canned sweet potatoes
• gravy mix
• two canned vegetables
• two cans cranberry sauce
• olives/pickles
• dinner rolls
• jell-o
• canned fruit
• pie / pie crust & filling
In addition to these items, we encourage you to personalize/embellish your basket any way you’d like! Just make sure any additional items are non-perishable and do not require refrigeration. Your meal should be sufficient to feed a family of 5-6 people.
Christmas Food Baskets should be delivered to the church office by Monday, December 21, 2009.
