Master Site-Plan Update

After almost four years of planning and preparation, we are pleased to report that the Master Site-Plan for development of our property has been approved. This update is intended to keep the congregation informed and engaged in the ongoing progress of the project. Your continued prayers and support are greatly appreciated!
OUR PLAN CONTAINS THREE CONSTRUCTION PHASES:
PHASE 1
The key elements in this phase include…
• INCREASED PARKING and IMPROVED TRAFFIC FLOW – increase parking spaces from 228 to 402 with additional gravel overflow parking
• CREATING NEW ACCESS/EXIT POINTS off Jennifer Drive
• RELOCATING THE CURRENT PLAYFIELD AND ADDING A NEW PLAYFIELD - The current playfield will be relocated to the north end of our property and a new larger playfield will be created adjacent to Jennifer Dr on the west end of the property.
• IMPROVING WATER SERVICE to the facility
• IMPROVING LIGHTING AND SOUND TREATMENT in the main sanctuary.
• INSTALLING NEW CHURCH SIGNAGE and UPGRADING LANDSCAPING
PHASE 2
The key elements in this phase include…
• RENOVATING THE CURRENT MAIN BUILDING which will include…
• Expansion of the Main Sanctuary [from 750 to 1125 seat capacity]
• Relocation of the Children’s Facilities [includes addition of a preschool playground].
• Relocation of the Church Offices to the current Children’s Building.
• RENOVATING AND EXPANDING THE NORTH BUILDING. This new complex will include a new bookstore/café and a 200 seat commons area including a kitchen to provide food service needs.
• CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW STUDENT MINISTRIES WING for the Junior High and High School Ministries including new paved basketball courts.
• CONSTRUCTION OF A PRAYER CHAPEL on the hilltop of the property.
• INCREASING PAVED PARKING SPACES from 402 to 542 with additional gravel overflow parking.
• RECONFIGURING THE MAIN ENTRY off Wolf Road to create a longer traffic throat on site – thus relieving back-up onto Wolf Rd/Hwy 49.
PHASE 3
The key element in this phase includes…
• CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW GYMNASIUM
CURRENT ISSUES AND POINTS FOR PRAYER INCLUDE:
• Our project team is working to get Phase One construction documents developed and approved to initiate construction in June 2010. Pray for continued favor with the various government agencies and for our project team as they assemble the construction team.
• A key issue impacting progress is project financing. Estimated cost of Phase One is approximately $2-$2.5 million. Financing options are available – but our goal is to minimize financing as much as possible. A building fund has been established for those wishing to make designated contributions to the project. Simply write “Building Fund” in the memo section on your check. All designated funds will be applied directly to building project expenses. Pray that God will provide resources sufficient for the project and that, in the process, He will be recognized and honored as the Supplier!
