New Service Times at CCGV

Starting Sunday, August 19 , Calvary Chapel Grass Valley will begin a new three-service Sunday morning schedule. The new service times will be as follows…

8:00 am / 9:30 am / 11:15 am

The primary reasons for making this change can best be summarized by three words:

Kids – Cars – Community

Kids

Increased attendance at our existing Sunday morning services has resulted in an overflow situation in our children’s ministry facilities. In an effort to maintain the high quality of ministry currently being provided for our children, it is necessary to create additional classroom space. At this point, the only way we can do so is by adding another service.

Cars

If you’ve been coming to CCGV for any period of time you know that we are parking challenged! Our staff is currently developing a comprehensive long-term site plan for our facility and parking help is on the way! But until then, adding a third service will go a long way toward mitigating the current parking problem.

Community

A primary concern resulting from these growth challenges is that our capacity to serve people in our community is being limited. At various points throughout the year, we experience surges in church attendance. Given the increase in our regular church attendance, we are now unable to adequately respond to these seasonal opportunities for ministry.

For these reasons, the pastoral team and board of directors have decided it’s time to make this change. Our initial objective is simply to make room for every person and family who wants to attend our church. Once that’s accomplished we can then concentrate on our actual mission – which is to faithfully preach, teach and model God’s life-changing Word so that people can come to faith in Christ and live in a right relationship with Him! We hope you will support us in this endeavor!
