MID-WEEK BIBLE STUDY

On Wednesday, January 11, we are resuming our regular mid-week Bible study and associated support ministries (Nursery & Preschool, Crossroads Kid’s Club, Junior High and High School Fellowships). But we want to tell you about a couple of changes we are making! First, we have decided to add (and provide) a meal to our monthly worship and communion services – which happens to be scheduled for January 11. The meal will be served in the fellowship hall from 5:45–6:15 p.m. After 15 minutes of clean-up, the worship and communion service will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the main sanctuary. That leads to the second change! All other Wednesday evening Bible study and associated support ministries will now begin at 6:30 p.m. instead of 7:00 p.m. Our goal is for all evening activities to conclude before 8:00 p.m. We hope you’ll consider joining us!

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY

On Tuesday, January 10, our Men of Crossroads Bible study is resuming their series in the Epistles of Paul by starting the book of Philippians. Sessions are provided on Tuesday mornings (6:00-7:00 a.m.), Tuesday evenings (7:00-8:30 p.m.), and Friday mornings (9:00-10:30 a.m.). This is a great time to jump on board if you are not already participating. To sign up contact the church office or simply show up at any of the sessions listed above.

WOMEN OF THE WORD

Women of the Word will be studying the Book of James beginning Tuesday, January 10. If you are already in a study group, there is no need to register. If you are new, or would like to change groups, time, or format, please fill out a registration sheet and turn it in to the church office. Beth Moore workbooks are also available to purchase in the church office.

MEN’S FLAG FOOTBALL

Rain or shine, all men are invited to the “Super Bowl Saturday” flag football game on Saturday, February 4th. Meet at the field between Bear River and Magnolia School at 9:00 a.m.

2011 CHRISTMAS SERVICES

This year Christmas Day falls on a Sunday. Therefore we have decided to hold our regular weekly worship services on Christmas Eve/Saturday, December 24. Services will be offered at 2:00PM, 4:00PM and 6:00PM and will be family-style – which means everyone in the family sits together in the main sanctuary! This year’s services will feature a special “Worship Team & Family” Choir and a traditional candle-lighting ceremony. We look forward to sharing a special Christmas celebration together…

MID-WEEK SERVICES

This Wednesday, November 30, we will have our regular monthly mid-week worship & communion service starting at 7:00 p.m. All subsequent Wednesday evening services during the month of December will be cancelled. Mid-week services will resume on Wednesday, January 11.

WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS DESSERT

On Friday, December 2, our Women’s Ministry is hosting a Christmas Dessert outreach. Debbie Walden of Cornerstone Ministries will teach on “Inexpressible Joy!” and music will be provided by our Womens’ Worship Team (traditional Christmas carols) and special guest Tessa Joy. Free tickets are available today in the church office (limit of three tickets per person).

MOMS ENCOURAGING MOMS

This group for moms of young children will meet Thursday, December 8, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall. If you would like to join the group and reserve childcare services, contact the church office.
