I love watching stuff like this – thanks for sharing!
Anyone else who likes checking out the universe, I recommend the Oakland Planetarium…they do a full dome/ceiling show about the universe…its pretty amazing.
And, even more amazing, that our Father loves each one of us…microscopic beings in the universe…He created us in His own image…and don’t you think that makes us one of His best (if not, the best) creations? It’s so sad that so many people reject their mighty Creator who loves them so much.
On another note, how did we ever figure out this much about the universe? Have our satellites really traveled that far?
Wow, that was truely amazing! It really makes you realize how very small we are, yet how big we are to our God! Thanks for sharing this video, I will definately pass it on.
When I look to the heavens and its great display of God’s awesome creation I do feel small. When I meditate on God’s word and see who He is and what He’s done I feel insuffcient. When I think about God outside of space and time in a place called eternity and close my eyes and pray I feel loved. God the eternal Holy Spirit dweling inside me makes me feel humble. Just a few thoughts – Michael
Viewing this several times, and trying to think of words that would explain what I felt… Really there are none. It is so, overwhelming, you can hardly speak. Let alone, find words.
We, like small grains of sand, and HE thinks of us! How humbling is that!!
I, also sent this to all.
Thanks Todd… it really helps put things into right perspective. Which we all need at times.
HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL MY BLOGG FRIENDS.
Blessings…
I heard recently that as large and unknowable as the universe seems to be, so is matter as it gets smaller; cells, atoms, etc. Just as we can’t seem to find the end going outward and larger, nor can we find it going inward and smaller, to worlds unknown.
This builds my faith in so many ways. He who has made the eye, who makes an egg, who keeps the planets from bumping into each other is completely brilliant and organized beyond what I can imagine. How can I doubt it’s all going to be OK?
Thanks, this was chilling in a beautiful way. I also felt strangely comforted approaching Earth at the end.
Speaking of infinitely small matter…have you seen Ben Stein’s documentary “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed”? I just watched it last night and there’s a part where Ben asks top university scientists/teachers how Darwin’s “simple” cell would compare in complexity to the modern day cell…if Darwin’s cell was a cadillac, they say the modern day cell would be a galaxy. You would think that after all the research throughout the years nonbelievers would consider a Creator rather than the impossible probabilities of it all coming from chance, from nowhere.
Shauna, I loved that movie. I’d like to own it and try and memorize it. Pretty brilliant from every angle. Have you ever seen The Priviliged Planet? Another secular work that’s mind-blowing and points to a Creator. Plus, the dwarf from LOTR narrates it, which is pretty cool.
Definitely Chill-bumps. Makes me think about the Wisdom of God calling out at creation. I have always thought of Aslan being a type of Jesus but he might fit more accurately a type of wisdom!
Hi gang…
There is an other DVD that you might like to check out. “How Great if our God” by Pastor Louie Giglio Very much the others mentioned, but with a Christian view. VERY WELL DONE!!
It has some wonderful surprises. It was at our book store. Maybe one of your friends might have it. If not, I do.. would be happy to let anyone borrow it.
Blessings…
I ordered “the privileged planet” from amazon a few days ago and watched it last night. So interesting! (Great suggestion, Michele). If anyone would like to borrow it…let me know.
Shauna, you’re local!?! I thought you were a kid who’d grown up in Crossroads and lived in another town now–or I would’ve loaned you the PP. Sorry! We need to meet sometime, because I always enjoy your comments.
(Just one more happy, fullfilled connection made on Todd’s blog)
Not so much a kid any more but, yes, local for 26 years now (started going to calvary on alta back in ‘85). You’re Levi’s mom, right? I knew him back in the Smoothies days …and I think you know my mom, Carrie Chastain
Oh, Shauna, of course! You’re the Smoothies faithful fan; I always have a soft-spot for you because you appreciated such great talent. Tell your mom hi for me. Say hello sometime if you see me at Crossroads—I know I won’t know you all grown up.

Oooo…I’ll def check that out. Thanks!
UNI- VERSE = ONE-VOICE
Is that the literal translation? Chill-bumps if so. Reminds me of the scene in The Magician’s Nephew, where Aslan creates the world.

Thank you God for creating us and this temporary home, thinking of us and loving us and giving us Your Son!!
